If you have a high powered E30/E36 compact an are breaking axles, this is an upgrade option to allow you to run the much stronger E34 6cyl axles. By putting this adapter into your hub (minor trailing arm clearancing required on some arms) you can then bolt in E34 6cyl axles. Some large body dampers will also require a ~10mm spacer and longer shock bolt to keep the damper away from the larger CV boots.
